Supervise Certified Nurse Assistants to provide quality nursing care to residents under the direction of the attending physician.
Essential Job Functions:
Dispense, administer, and record medication according to professional standards.
Provide and record treatments according to professional standards.
Maintain electronic health records for all residents of The Woodlands in a professional manner.
Communicate in written and oral form with other health care professionals in accordance with accepted nursing procedures.
Complete daily nursing duties in a professional manner.
Inform supervisory and administrative staff of any unusual occurrences.
Assist in the coordination of doctor visits, appointments, transportation, and resident companion.
Assist with meal service as needed.
Complete and maintain nursing assessments and care plans.
Communicate with families’ needs and conditions of residents.
Record charge slips as requested.
Give general personal care to residents including baths, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene and assist the resident in positioning, range of motion and dressing as needed.
Provide for the safety of the resident in use of side rails, mechanical lifts, etc, as instructed according to applicable facility, state and federal regulations, and document.
