Certified Dietary Manager

Are you a compassionate Dining Service or Food Service Leader looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals on their retirement journey? 

The Certified Dietary Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the dietary department within our skilled care living facility. This position is responsible for ensuring that residents receive proper nutrition tailored to their individual health needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dietetics. This role requires effective supervision of dining staff and the ability to manage dietary operations efficiently.

Duties

  • Works with the Dietitian to conduct patient assessments and determine individual dietary needs and preferences and implement nutritional care plans.
  • Oversee the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring compliance with dietary guidelines.
  • Supervise dietary staff, providing training and support as needed.
  • DON and other healthcare professionals to optimize residents' nutritional outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of dietary services, including meal plans and resident feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards within the kitchen and dining areas.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Dietary Manager is required or willing to obtain within 6 months or hire.
  • Experience in assisted living or similar healthcare settings is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of dietetics and nutrition principles.
  • Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and health coaching strategies.
  • 2 years previous supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effective, preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with residents and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours to ensure staff and services are being provided at all meal times.

Pay Rates:

  • $24-28 per hour
