We are looking for an experienced line cook to prepare food to the chef’s specifications. The successful candidate will play a key role in catering and fine dining, along with providing exceptional customer service to our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have ability to line cook, prep and have baking experience

  • Knowledge of food safety procedures
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow the Culinary Director or Kitchen Managers/Chef
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers

Requirements:

  • Proven cooking experience (1-2 years)
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • Culinary school diploma/Serv Safe is a plus
